Linford Gayle Consumer Affairs Coordinator for the County of San Mateo Mental Health Plan, helping consumers of mental health services navigate the system.
He has been co-chair of the Consumer Council of San Francisco; and the Wellness Recovery Task Force in San Francisco.
Mr. Gayle helped develop the Peer Internship Program at CBHS, which offers consumers on-the-job training in paid internship placements at local mental health agencies throughout San Francisco and was the committee lead on the African-American IMD Project, which created a mental health treatment program aiming to reduce African American recidivism rates in locked facilities.
He teaches and practices the Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) in the community and implements it in his own life.
